I am a client of Chris Tyrovolas and Susan Johnstons’.
I hired them to sell a commercial property I
owned until recently, in downtown Whitby. The property had several issues that made it a
challenge to market and sell, but in spite of these challenges, Chris and Susan persevered until
it was sold.
The property was first listed for sale in November of 2023 and due to one issue in particular, it
took until the end of October 2025 to complete its’ sale. The issue I am referring to was
complex and I was so very fortunate to have a team who had the knowledge and experience to
help guide me to a successful conclusion. They gave the marketing of the property their all, in
terms of time and effort, even though it was not a particularly valuable property. There is no
doubt that they approach every listing this way, no matter the value of the property or the
problems that may be connected to it.
I truly believe that without Chris and Susan as my realtors, I would not have been able to sell
the property for such a favorable price and on such favorable terms. With the essential effort
of a third member of the team, Theresa Kerr, they also run a highly organized and amiable
office.

More recently, I worked with Chris and his team from the perspective of a client and have an entirely new appreciation on how excellent this team is.
We retained Chris and Susan to assist us in our search for commercial industrial space for a new family business. Chris and Susan quickly located several options for consideration. They were clearly looking out for our best interests as opposed to just getting a deal done.

This was not an easy property to manage the sale of or to sell. After initially contacting Chris back in May, we also had to defer the sale in August for a month, due to an unexpected surgery that my husband needed.
Chris did an exceptional job of explaining the ins and outs of commercial real estate to us, offered quality advice in a very timely fashion and stayed focused on the end goal. Simply put, without him and his expertise, we could have never managed this sale.
We were very surprised and pleased with the number of showings that we had as this was a very old building that had not been properly maintained. For this reason, the decision was made to sell "as is, where is".
We were also surprised and pleased with the number of offers that we had - both low ball, and serious.
Chris guided us methodically and calmly through these options while providing good information and recommendations.
We, and my mom, Olga Kuch, are truly grateful and appreciative of his support through the sale which was completed just last week.
